1) A Medical Assistant can promote the Patient's Bill of Rights by understanding the patient's rights and providing the patient with the best care possible .The MA can also promote the rights by helping the patient understand the care that they are going to receive .
2) If the patient's rights have been violated the Medical Assistant can help by informing the patient that their right has been violated as soon as it happens and reassure them that it is not going to happen again and let them speak to the supervisor if they wish to. An example would be leaving the patient's chart out in the open for other's to read and have access to .

If the patient's right have been violated the best thing the medial assistant can do to is to notify the patient about the situation as quickly as possible, and let the patient know that you will to the best to your knowledge to prevent this from repeated itself. And the example would be providing patient care on a unsanitary place.

Kimbleda I completely agree with you because if you didn't notify the patient right away about their right being violated then the patient could proceed legal actions against you and the physician . |

A) medical assistants responsibility for promoting the patients bill of rights is very serious. you need to be considerate , listen to the patient, be compassionate, and right the important things, and that the patient is in best hands with the dr and receives the necessary care. Earn their trust and feel that they comfortable.
2) if the patients rights have been violated, notify the patient immediately. tell them that their information have gotten in someone else's hands and their privacy have been violated. Reassure them that the situation is being handled, explain to them what happened and how it was obtained. For example : You was in the examining room gathering information with the patient, then someone walked in and overheard the conversation with them. Then they went out to other nurses and told everybody things about this patient.

The medical assistant is expected to give the best care that they possibly can to the patient regardless of healthcare needs. The care for the patient must reflect on their belief and values. Medical assistants can promote the patient's Bill of Rights by being respectful, private and confident, make sure to explain the care, a safe environment, informed consent, considerate medical care, and rules and regulations. If the patient's rights have been violated then the medical assistant needs to make sure they notify the patient on what has happened and ensure them that everything will be taken care of. Also give them the option of talking to someone of higher authority if they would feel better about it.
Example: Releasing the wrong patient's information. This happens when the patient has the same or similar name.

They would also need to be considerate of the reason they are there. The MA should be respectful of the decision that the patient makes regarding there care or diagnosis. With the patients bill of rights you need to be cautious of there privacy, as far as making sure you have the correct patients record up or the correct patient in front of you. If by some chance the patients rights have been violated depending on the severity the medical assistant can help in a couple different ways. For instance if a different patient for some reason got the wrong persons information they medical assistant can ask for that information back and explain the situation or if they had already left the facility you can call that particular patient and ask them to discard or shred the information they had received due to it was not there's. |

A medical assistant can promote the patient's Bill of Rights by helping the patient understand what their Bill of Rights are and to make sure they are protected. Also, a medical assistant makes sure that the patient receives the proper care, be understanding and considerate of the patients health visit. If a patients rights have been violated you have to inform the patient that their rights have been violated, tell them exactly what happened and how you are going to take the necessary actions to fix this issue. Also, you have to reassure them that this kind of situation will never happen again. Example: A nurse reading the wrong patient file because the names are similar
